How to Create a QR Code Using Chrome Browser
- Open Chrome browser.
- Navigate to the webpage or web resource you wish to share.
- On the upper right section of the browser, look for three stacked dots next to the profile picture.
- Click the three stacked dots.

- Select “Cast, Save, and Share” in the menu.
- Select “Create QR Code” in the sub-menu.
- Click to either “Copy” or “Download” the image of the QR code.
- Copy. It’s possible to copy/paste the QR code directly into resources like Google Slides, etc. to display or print a QR code for others to scan.
- Download. Consider downloading and saving a QR code image file if it links people to a resource you use on an ongoing basis.

Applications
- Forgot to drop the link in Schoology for the student activity? Providing a training to a group and don’t have a way to share links? Quickly share a link to a website during a presentation. Just pull up the QR code generator during the meeting for other participants to quickly access your slides, site, survey, etc.
- Print a QR code. Paste the QR code in your document before printing to enable users to access your resources (slides, web links, etc.) or details that don’t fit in one page.
